October 10, 2015 - Homestead, Florida
With the help of modern technology and a little push from Jane's roommate Katie, Kevin and Jane met at Gordon Biersch Brewery for their first date. They bonded over drinks, good food, and their enthusiasm for the Miami Heat. The night was such a success that they quickly made plans for a second date. Kevin, not one to typically introduce anyone to his friends quickly, invited Jane over his friends Brett and Catherine’s for freshly caught tuna ceviche and dolphin. Kevin knew that night that he had found someone very special.
In the weeks that followed, Kevin and Jane quickly grew inseparable and shared many fun adventures. They discovered many shared interests in biking, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. When Jane’s ferret Louie became very sick, Kevin helped care for him, spending much time at various vet’s offices and supporting Jane. Once Louie recovered, both Jane and Louie knew that Kevin was the one.
In January of 2015, Kevin and Jane returned to one of their favorite sites, the Morikami Japanese Gardens. While enjoying some coffee on a quiet bench overlooking a lake, Kevin dropped to one knee and asked Jane to marry him… and Jane said YES!

We’re so excited for our honeymoon! The week following our wedding we will be heading off on the trip of a lifetime and we’d like to share our plans with you. We will hop on a plane in Miami and head to Europe where we will set sail on The Allure of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world! While sailing around the Mediterranean, we will make stops at Mallorca, Marseilles, Florence, Rome, and Naples before returning to Spain.
For the second half of our honeymoon, we’ll be checking things off our bucket list as we explore the sights, tastes, and culture of Spain. We will spend time in Barcelona, Granada, Ronda, Seville, and Madrid. While there we plan to check out many of Spain’s cultural treasures including ancient cathedrals, museums, villages, and Moorish palaces. Spain should be a great place for Kevin to put his Spanish to use.
